NaviTruck vs CoPilot GPS
By the NaviTruck team · Updated 15 October 2026
CoPilot, from Trimble, sells separate truck and caravan plans and caps its caravan profile at 3.80 m and 8 t. NaviTruck puts trucks and caravans in one subscription with no such cap, and adds alerts that work even when you are not navigating.
Why drivers choose NaviTruck over CoPilot GPS
- You want restriction alerts with no route set, even with the app closed
- Your motorhome is bigger than 3.80 m / 8 t (14 ft / 26,000 lb in North America)
- You want truck and caravan profiles in one subscription

“Not stated” and “Not documented” mean we could not find it in the app’s listing or help pages, not that it definitely lacks it.
Where NaviTruck goes further
Bigger motorhomes and off-route protection. CoPilot's caravan profile stops at 3.80 m high, 14 m long and 8 t; NaviTruck's profiles have no such cap. NaviTruck also warns about restrictions with no route set and with the app closed, which we could not find documented for CoPilot's consumer app.
Ratings. CoPilot has the lowest store ratings among the major truck apps we compared (3.1 on the UK App Store, 3.5 in the US).
