In one paragraph
NaviTruck is a truck and caravan GPS app for iPhone and Android. Drivers enter their vehicle once (height, width, length, weight, axles and hazmat class) and every route avoids the low bridges, weight limits and narrow roads it does not fit. Its background protection goes further than a planned route: NaviTruck notices when the vehicle starts moving and warns on the lock screen before a low bridge, weight or width restriction, even with no destination set and the app closed. It runs on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, works offline, and one subscription includes every feature.
What is new about it
Truck sat navs avoid restrictions on the route you planned. Bridge strikes tend to happen off it: on a diversion, looking for a gate on an industrial estate, at a campsite entrance, or on the short run back to the yard when nobody sets a route. NaviTruck checks the road ahead against the vehicle profile in those moments too. In our comparisons of the main truck navigation apps in eight countries, we found no other phone app that documents restriction alerts with no route set (October 2026).
